Notre Dame University – Junior High School

Notre Dame University offered the Junior High School curriculum in 2012 with 7 teachers and one hundred forty seven (147) students.  It occupies the newly constructed Sullivan Building.  In 2016, JHS has provided its students with complete laboratories and facilities needed-Biology, Chemistry and Physics laboratories, computer laboratories, Speech and SRA laboratories, TLE laboratories for Electrical Works, Cookery, Bread and Pastries and Caregiving, and Audio Visual Room.  It has also provided intensive trainings and drills for its athletes to champion the different fields in sports in District and City Meets, NDEA Meet and SRAA. Ninety percent (90%) of the teaching force are professional licensed teachers dedicated and committed to hone every student with the values of Faith, Integrity, Respect, Excellence and Service.  In year 2020, JHS has almost one thousand two hundred students.

In this challenging time of the pandemic, NDU JHS, with strong partnership and collaboration with the parents and/or families, has been implementing distance learning modalities-online (both synchronous and asynchronous) and modular learning.  It has provided more creative, innovative and resilient teaching-learning modalities to still continue to provide educational opportunities and services to its students.  JHS has continued the conduct of student development, formation and extra-curricular programs, monthly celebrations through virtual activities via social media platforms.

Notre Dame University Junior High School thrives amid the challenge of the pandemic and is always committed to keep its high standards and to continue providing for quality education, to still be passionate with our commitment to develop our students as persons of character and excellence – to be God-centered, value-laden, peace advocates, globally competent and good communicators…to be leaders for social transformation in Mindanao.
