As the globalization of the educational system in the Philippines arose, the K to 12 program has been launched by the Department of Education to continue to offer the best education every Filipino student deserves.
Notre Dame University, as one of the biggest institutions in Central Mindanao, opened and welcomed its new department under the Basic Education program offered by the university, the Junior High School level.
With its implementation in June 2012, there were 148 Grade 7 officially enrolled students. On the following school year, 2013-2014, JHS had already offered a complete secondary education with the additional opening of Grade 8, Third and Fourth year levels with 398 students.
For SY 2014-2015, 481 students were enrolled by school year 2015-2016, with the full implementation of the K to 12 program on JHS level, an increase of 122 students was recorded.
On SY 2016-2017, 689 students were enrolled. It also welcomed the JHS pioneer students to the Senior High School level.
In the succeeding years, the number of enrollees has continued to increase with the following enrolment data: SY 2017-20 – 794 students; SY 2018-2019 – 998 students; SY 2019-2020 – 1,080 students; 2020-2021 – 1093 students. With the impact of the pandemic, JHS has only 910 officially enrolled students for SY 2021-2022.

The global pandemic caused by Covid-19 has created a huge impact on our educational system, institutions, our teachers and students. For two consecutive school years, despite the problem we faced, the school has continued to offer quality education to our stakeholders. Through our Distance Learning, online and modular learning modalities, we have shown how committed and resilient we are in giving and delivering the best education our students need at this time.
